Arne Jacobsen created the Pot™ in 1959 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Years later, the Pot was relaunched with a fresh take on Jacobsen’s lounge chair, revitalised for the modern interior. Retaining the striking shape of its predecessor, the modern rendition meets today’s demands through improved comfort and quality.

In design, Jacobsen rarely knew what he wanted ahead of time – despite the seemingly effortless line. Here, Jacobsen was far from the confident person he was seen to be with builders. Apart from the basic idea, conceived with a keen sense of proportion and an unusual talent for design and form, nothing determined ahead of time.
