The Carl Hansen & Søn – CH327 – Dining Table was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1962.  This Dining Table for six is available in two sizes and has an unusual design where the table top almost seems to float. Additional plate available separately in MDF grey or black.

Carl Hansen & Søn – CH327 – Dining Table by Hans J. Wegner

The charming CH327 dining table from 1962 is a good example how creativity is combined with excellent craftsmanship.  The result is a unique and exciting design. The dining table comes in solid wood  with softened edges and rounded legs that become narrower towards the floor. The wood’s grains follow the length of the tabletop which itself is supported by 3 distinct rails. Underneath each of these, on each side, is a side rail that continues along the length of the table.

For support, there is two detachable legs at each end which are connected by a cross-stretcher. The legs and stretchers ensure stability of the table transversely while the side rails do the same in the length. The side rails are joined higher at the table legs and more narrow between them in order to increase leg space for seating.
CH327 is nowadays available in two sizes: 190 cm for six people and 248 cm for up to eight people. The tables can be extended at both sides with a 40 cm wide extension plate, increasing the number of seats up to 10 and 12.

The elegant dining table by Hans J. Wegner is suitable to be used as both a dining table and a meeting table.
