The by Lassen Base coasters protect the surface against growth and provide a wonderful complement and are kept in the simple style of Mogens Lassen. The brand By Lassen has the rights to the designs of two of Denmark’s largest architects – Mogens Lassen (1901-1987) and Flemming Lassen (1902-1984). The Lassen brothers were extremely talented and were honored with numerous prizes and scholarships for their unique designs and iconic architecture. By Lassen is a family company whose simple mission is to continue the letting heritage – for good design lives through new generations. The architect Mogens Lassen (1901-1987) is one of Denmark’s largest and most important architects. He is one of the pioneers of Danish functionalism and is recognized for his characteristic architecture internal. Mogens Lassen was inspired mainly by the German design school Bauhaus and the geometrical forms are often found in his cult designs.
