Peter Svarrer
Peter Svarrer graduated from the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1981 and has taught at the Danish School of Design and Kolding Arts and Crafts. He has numerous Danish and foreign exhibitions behind him and has received several awards and grants. Peter Svarrer has been working with glass in his own workshop since 1982 and was part of several glass workshops until he came to Holmegaards Glasværk in 1997. This is where he created the well-known and functional glass series Cocoon, Future, Cabernet, Reflections tealight holders and also individual lamps.

Holmegaard has always been synonymous with unique glass design and a passion for glass craftsmanship, and the Cabernet series is an excellent example of this.
Holmegaard’s designs have always given rise to big and small reflections. Both concrete ones, such as when light is reflected in glass, but also abstract ones, such as when we reflect on wine, food, life and art at the table. With the Cabernet series, you get a lovely wine glass that is created to unleash the full potential of the wine – but with a sharp eye on the aesthetics.
The Cabernet series offers glasses for different types of wine, as well as glasses for champagne, beer, schnapps and water. The series also has a matching wine carafe and water carafe. All created with the deep passion for glass craftsmanship that makes Holmegaard as current and modern today as when it was founded in 1825.
