In collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn, Danish designer Anker Bak has created the AB019 Wall Desk, a minimalist design stripped down to essentials. Drawing from his experiences with tiny living and his visits to Japan, where small spaces demand functional, minimalist design, the desk is crafted from oak or laminate with stainless steel accents. It features functional details and a sleek aesthetic, with an optional, flexible drawer to complement the design.

About ABO19 Wall Desk and Anker Bak:

In collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn, Anker Bak has designed the AB019 Wall Desk, inspired by his experiences with tiny living and his visits to Japan, where minimalist design is key in small spaces. Made from FSC-certified oak or matte black laminate with stainless steel mounts, the desk offers functional details and a simple aesthetic. An optional oak drawer complements the design, fitting beneath the tabletop or on top as a laptop stand. The desk also features a practical wire opening and magnetic oak caps to hide screws, completing its sleek look.

Danish designer Anker Bak is known for pushing both the conceptual and physical boundaries of design, creating pieces that combine high-quality craftsmanship with superior functionality. Inspired by a human-centric approach, Bak draws on his apprenticeship in boatbuilding and experiences learning local craftsmanship traditions worldwide. His designs are deeply rooted in dignity and respect for people and traditions, often addressing the specific needs of his close family members.
