The reintroduced Carl Hansen & Søn – OW149 Colonial Chair dates back to 1949 though few people know that Ole Wanscher actually designed this at that time. The Colonial Series also includes the classic Colonial Chair and Footrest and the newly released Colonial Coffee Table.

The Colonial Serie by Ole Wanscher:

The serie clearly reflects Wanscher´s fondness for the delicate and refined as well as his fascination with furniture design from the 18th century England and bygone Colonial times.

The Colonial Chair comes with loose cushions and the seat moves freely in the frame, which features a cotton webbing base. Like the Colonial Sofa, the Colonial Chair is available in walnut and oak with either fabric or leather cushions.

Designed by Ole Wanscher, the Colonial Chair was first introduced in 1949 and re-introduced by Carl Hansen & Søn in 2015.
