Sculptural design for small spaces

Hans J. Wegner’s sofa is the beautiful fusion of aesthetics, function and comfort and was first presented at the Danish Furniture Design Exhibition in Copenhagen back in 1952. The compact proportions and a slim frame make the 2-seater perfect for smaller homes. The flowing shape also makes it a shapely eye-catcher from all angles. Excellent knowledge of first-class craftsmanship and furniture upholstery made it possible for the legendary Danish designer to conceive this sofa, whose design is realized with a series of complex techniques – especially where the fabric meets the slender wooden armrests. The sofa features a sculptural, fully upholstered frame, a loose seat cushion and elegant tapered legs made of solid wood. The armrests and legs are available in oak and walnut with a variety of finish options, and a range of colors and textures are also available for the upholstery fabrics.
