Driven by the aspiration to craft the ultimate sofa, Børge Mogensen designed the first 2212 Sofa for his own home in 1962. Today, this sofa stands as an iconic piece of mid-century Danish design, gracing embassies, corporate headquarters, private residences, galleries, and museums worldwide. At Fredericia, we are dedicated to preserving the legacy of this beloved design. Fully upholstered sofa with piping in all stitches. Available in leather or fabric. Fixed legs of solid wood, built into the wood internal frame. Seat is supported with jute and rubber band webbing. Separate seat, back and arm cushions with removable covers. In our workshop, each piece is meticulously crafted using only the finest materials and expert craftsmanship. Børge Mogensen (1914-1972), one of the most influential figures in Modern Danish design and Fredericia’s founding designer, drew inspiration from around the globe.
