About the Design

The Grand Prix™ chair is an iconic creation by Arne Jacobsen, known for its bold, graphic edge. About the Designer

Even as a child in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen showed a unique design sensibility. It’s said that he once painted over the ornate Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom — not with playful drawings or a splash of blue, but entirely in white. In an era when white walls were uncommon, Jacobsen’s choice revealed his forward-thinking mindset.

From the beginning, he was a designer ahead of his time.
