The Holmegaard – Cabernet Wine Carafe in Peter Svarrer’s Cabernet range has been created to enhance your wine experience and draw out the full potential of the wine. The carafe is suitable for oxidising both a powerful and muscular vintage wine and a young everyday bottle that needs help to open up the nuances of its flavours and aromas.

Height: 23.5  Ø29 cm

Volume: 170cl

Dishwasher-safe at temperatures of up to 55°C.

Note that the volume in cl stated for this glass has now changed. Previously it was 150 cl but it is now 170 cl.

Avoid stressing the wine by pouring it directly into the carafe. Ensure instead that you pour it gently down the inside of the carafe. A great gift idea – and simply a must for an evening of blind tests and wine tasting.

The Designer Peter Svarrer:

Peter Svarrer is also called the Master of Light because he creates glass designs based on capturing and reflecting light in the very special way that only glass can achieve. He has worked with glass in his own workshop since 1982.

When Peter Svarrer and Holmegaard started working together in 1997, it became the beginning of a fruitful and productive partnership that is still developing and producing new shapes and colours.

Peter Svarrer has a love of glass as a material and of the organic forms that characterise his designs.
