The story behind the armchair is more than a historical dialogue. The shape of the seat was created during a family vacation in Århus when the family spent a few days on the beach. Wegner experimented there and repeatedly drew the seat in the sand. He was always “at work”, although work was always a kind of game for him, playing with ideas was part of his work process.
