Sibast Furniture No 2.1 – Dining table

The Sibast No 2.1 dining table draws its inspiration from the minimalist No 1 side table by Helge Sibast. It is an extension and interpretation of this timeless design from the late 1950s and respects Helge Sibast’s principle that a chair should never be hidden under a table, but should be placed next to it. The dining table is a sophisticated design that combines function and aesthetics from a new perspective. It was designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast, supported by the insights and expertise of Bodil Sibast, who followed in the footsteps of her father, Helge Sibast, as a furniture designer and carpenter. True to Helge Sibast’s philosophy, the austere, narrow dining table emphasizes the beauty of the chairs next to it. Please note, that the extension panels sit in a hidden compartment underneath the tabletop.
