The Design of Sibast Furniture – SIBAST No 9 Dining Chair:

Sibast No 9 is the newly relaunched chair by SIBAST FURNITURE. The chair was designed by Helge Sibast in 1953. The characteristic, pressed backrest defines the chair and ensures good seating comfort.
This timelessly simple and light chair with its fine craftsmanship has not been produced for more than five decades and is now back in the Sibast Furniture collection. It tells the story of a furniture designer who tirelessly tried to create the best chair every time based on a true, refined style. Over time, he worked his way through a variety of sketches, refining both craftsmanship and style to perfection. As a trained carpenter, he made his own designs. The chair’s pocket legs are slightly narrowed, which makes the design simpler. The seat construction lifts the seat off the legs and gives the chair lightness. A classic Danish sustainable design.

The Sibast No 9 is made of wood from FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources and is available in many variants.
