About Stouby:

It all began in 1902 in the small village of Stouby in central Jutland, Denmark. A few hundred kroner, half a hide of leather, the frame of a chaise longue and a little linen – that was all the founder of the Stouby furniture factory, Marius J. Blirup, needed for his first steps. Even though the circumstances were modest and the means were small, the furniture manufacturer’s creativity and inventiveness were great.

Marius J. Blirup soon established himself as a regular exhibitor at the annual “Købestævne” – an internationally recognized trade fair for Danish design and craftsmanship in Fredericia at the time.
