A pendant with direct downward light and layered shades that diffuse the light throughout the room. Panton was known for his skilful play with basic geometric forms, figures and systems – often drawing inspiration from organic silhouettes found in nature, and the Hive pendant is no exception. Made from multiple concentric shades of varying sizes, the layered design of the pendant offers a very characteristic and sculptural quality. This is done while ensuring 100% glare-free light.

Verner Panton
Panton (1926-1998) was an inspirational and colorful designer. A unique person with a special feeling for colour, form, light function and space.
Throughout his career, Verner Panton (1926-1998) introduced a series of modern lamps with a personality no different from his Scandinavian contemporaries.
With a remarkable belief in the unlimited possibilities of form, he successfully developed a number of revolutionary theories about how lighting works and how it should work
Verner Panton studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before working in Arne Jacobsen’s architectural office. Verner Panton founded his own design studio in 1955.
