Craftmanship can mean a lot of things. To Carl Hansen & Son it means everything. The company was founded in 1908 in Odense and provides costumers with high-quality furniture at a reasonable price. They combine traditional woodwork techniques with the latest technology to produce furniture of lasting value.
Most of the furniture were designed by leading Danish architects back in the 1930s and up to the 1960s. Even though the Designs might seem old, the vision and the craftmanship behin every piece of furniture is still as relevant today as it was then. The dedication to work with the best designers in the world and use high-quality-furniture is creating a quality that is extraordinary.
Carl Hansen & Son feels greatly reponsible to work with sustainable wood from sustainably managed forests and treat it as gentle as possible for the environment. The furniture are all made to use them and to sustain a long life. There is nothing “throw-away” about these products.
Every piece of furniture that leaves the factory in Aarup is still crafted with the same pride, dedication and passion that helps them to maintain the same high quality for all these years. All pieces got a story to tell and Carl Hansen is very proud about that.
