Hans J. Wegner’s bedside table GE430 was originally designed for a series of beds with round legs and headboards with horizontal spindles for the company Ry Møbler. The bedside table thus features round legs that support a box, whose top is equipped with a protective edge at the back and on the sides. The box itself has a compartment at the bottom for items like reading material and a flat drawer at the top with a delicate wooden handle for various personal belongings. This design reflects Wegner’s renowned craftsmanship and attention to detail, embodying the principles of simplicity and functionality that characterized his collaboration with Getama.
