Louis Poulsen PH 3/3 Pendant Brass Limited Edition

PH 3/3’s limited special edition has a structure of uncoated brass. Ceiling rose, base and upper shade are brass, lower shades are made of white opaline glass. A diffuser cover of matt glass in the lower shade reduce glare. The brass shade’s inner side is white lacquered. The PH 3/3 Limited Edition 2022 suspension generates a warm illumination all around.

About the Louis Poulsen PH 3

In 1925 Poul Henningsen created the three-part light shade, and the first models made in collaboration with Louis Poulsen were exhibited in Paris. Poul Henningsen wished to create light fixtures emitting a glare-free light which project soft shadows and guide the light cone to the right spot. Poul Henningsen dealt with light on a scientific level and, for this purpose, used a logarithmical spiral. With its aid and the use of glass he achieved an even light distribution and diffuse reflection.
