Stouby

It started in 1902 in a small village of Stouby in Mid-Jutland, Denmark. A few hundred crowns, half a leather hide, the frame of a chaise long and a bit of linen – that’s all the founder of the Stouby furniture factory, Marius J. Blirup, needed for his first steps.
Even if the circumstances were modest and the means small, the creative power and creativity of the furniture manufacturer was great.
Marius J. Blirup soon established himself as a regular exhibitor at the annual “Købestævne” – at that time an internationally recognized fair for Danish design and crafts in Fredericia.
